Arc Works provides a main point of access to programs supporting the economic realities and aspirations of individuals with disabilities. The goal of these services is to help participants obtain and maintain employment, complete post-secondary education or occupational skills training and increase knowledge of financial stability concepts and behaviors.
The School of Hire Education is an exciting opportunity for eligible Broward County students with developmental disabilities ages 18 to 22, to obtain career/workforce education, community-based instruction and independent living skills. A unique option for post-secondary students, the school provides students with opportunities to prepare them for a career after high school.
Youth Links is an experiential learning program that prepares students with disabilities ages 16 to 21 for post-secondary education, training and employment. The program fosters independence and improves social and employability skills and prepares youth with special needs to transition successfully into adulthood.
The Business Advisory Council (BAC) members share one of Arc Broward’s strategic goals of generating employment outcomes for people with disabilities and other employment barriers. BAC members are ambassadors of Arc Broward at networking events and help to raise community awareness around disability employment.
