Dennis Haas, Esq. -
Arc Broward 
President/CEO
Mr. Haas has served on the Arc Broward Board of Directors since 1983.  In 1996, he assumed the position of President/CEO of the organization and continues to serve on the Board in that capacity.  Previously, he was in private law practice for 18 years as a Shareholder in a large south Florida law firm and later in his own firm.  He practiced in the areas of corporate healthcare, public finance and governmental relations.  He has served as a member and in leadership positions of many non-profit and community Boards including the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Special Needs Advisory Committee, United Way of Broward, Broward Chamber of Non-Profit Organizations, and the Autism Grants Council, among others.  
Carolyn Davis, Board Chair

Carolyn Davis joined the Board of Directors of Arc Broward in 2014.  She began her career at Seitlin Benefits in 1990 as a sales consultant. She was promoted to Vice President in 1994, and her responsibilities included managing the employee benefits division of Seitlin in the Ft Lauderdale office, as well as develop her own book of business.  In 1999, Carolyn became President of Seitlin Benefits. Under her leadership as President (1999- 2007) Seitlin Benefits’ revenues increased over 500%.  In addition, under her management, the benefits division developed many value-added solutions for their clients to include: technology based solutions, benefits administration support, enhanced financial analysis, actuarial services, legal compliance support, employee and dependent advisory support. Carolyn developed Seitlin’s Key Account Team Model and recruited superior talent in each discipline providing an unparalleled depth of talent to Seitlin’s clients. Carolyn served on United Healthcare’s first National Advisory Board from 2003-2007, Aetna’s National Broker Advisory Council, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida’s Agents Council. In 2008, Carolyn became Chairwoman of Seitlin Benefits. In that position, Carolyn participated in corporate strategic initiatives and managed her own book of business. In 2011, Carolyn resigned as Chairwoman and became President Emeritus. Since retiring Carolyn served as Chair of United Way of Broward County’s Endowment Committee, currently sits on UWBC Tocqueville Society Steering Committee, and is working with Holy Cross Hospital to explore a Community Development Council. She holds the office of Arc Broward Board Chair and is also a member of the Governance Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. 
Cheryl Higgins

Vice-Chair

Cheryl is a seasoned Engineering Director with experience leading software delivery in Java, React, Pega and .Net for projects ranging from data center migration to new capabilities. Her ability to provide clarity during times of ambiguity, make decisions and positive attitude enables her to deliver exceptional results. Most of her career has been at American Express, 33 years, with the last 18 years as in Technologies. Cheryl has a BA in Finance and an MS in Quality Management.

 

Beyond her Director responsibilities, Cheryl is committed to making a difference in the community. She has served on non-profit boards for the past 20 years in positions ranging from Board member to President. At American Express, she launched a community outreach program to encourage middle school girls to pursue education and careers in technology as part of the Women in Technology network. She has two boys, Brandon 31 and Justin 25, and enjoys travel, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Adam Corin

Adam Corin graduated from Arizona State University with a Business Degree and then moved back to his home state to attend Law School.   After graduating from Law School, Adam worked as a Westchester County Attorney for many years and in 1994, moved to Florida.  Once in Florida, Adam worked as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of West Palm Beach and after 4 years, moved on to become In-House Council for the parent Corporation of a large retail store chain.  Thereafter, having practiced law for over 12 years, Adam became involved in the Employee Leasing/PEO industry in various capacities and has now been in this industry for the past 18 years.  In 2010, Adam opened Niroc Consultants, an independent consulting firm, to use his education, experiences, and strategic alliances as a source for business owners to find outsourcing solutions for all their company needs.  Niroc Consultants main focus is as an independent advisor in finding back-office HR solutions for any size company, nationwide. Over the past several years, Adam has volunteered his time to many nonprofit organizations.  Adam currently serves on the Board of HANDY and Chaired their Development Committee for several years until recently; As of October 1st, has been appointed Chair of the Arc Broward Business Advisory Council; has been a Broward County Guardian Ad Litem for several years and also has involvement with 211 Broward, Leadership Broward and the NOVA Ambassadors Board.  

Palak Singh, CPA

Treasurer

 

Palak Singh was elected to the Arc Broward of Directors in September 2015.  Palak is a tax partner in the Florida practice of RSM US LLP. Palak has extensive experience serving in a tax advisory role for private equity groups and their portfolio companies assisting in the structuring of complex multinational transactions and performing due diligence and international tax issues related to acquisitions. She is also a client service coordinator for specific fund relationships where she works with the private equity group and their portfolio companies with teams across all geographies and lines of businesses to bring the best value to add solutions possible. She has broad industry expertise in consumer products, healthcare and service industries and specializes in accounting for income taxes for large multi-national, multi-state companies including interim reporting for public companies.

In addition to her client service and relationship responsibilities, she is also responsible for managing the tax practice in the Fort Lauderdale office from a quality, staffing and profitability perspective. Her other community activities involve Leadership Broward, Women Leading Broward, Friends of MODS and the Miss Arc Broward Pageant

Tanya L. Bower
Tripp Scott
Ms. Bower joined the Arc Broward Board in 2013.  She is a Director-Attorney at Tripp Scott, P.A. specializing in Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Asset Protection, Succession Planning, and General Business transactions.  She has an L L.M., Taxation from University of Miami School of Law, a JD from Florida State University College of Law and a BS in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is an active member of the Board of Leadership Broward, and Junior League of Greater Ft. Lauderdale, among others.  Ms. Bower is co-chair of the Arc Broward Strategic Planning Committee.

 
Kim Cagiano
SunTrust

Kim Cagiano, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the South Florida Division of Truist, comprising the counties of Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River. In this role, Kim is responsible for driving sales strategy, community involvement, public relations, and marketing initiatives for this geographic area from her office based in Fort Lauderdale.  

Kim joined Truist (formerly SunTrust) in 1990 and is a 26-year veteran of the banking industry. Kim has led the sales and marketing team in South Florida for the past 15 years. For the first 11 years of her banking career, she held a variety of roles with the Retail Banking portion of SunTrust Bank. She is a member of the bank’s Diversity and Inclusion Council and Mentoring Program and holds an advisory capacity to various areas of the bank for innovative programs and projects.  

She is a native Floridian and resides in Parkland, Florida with her husband and three sons. 

Eamonn Caulfield

Eamonn has been with Ultimate Software (now known as Ultimate Kronos Group- UKG) in a variety of leadership roles since 2006. He is currently a senior executive in the Business Transformation office where he is responsible for a Shared Services portfolio that includes Business Intelligence, Resource Management, Capacity Planning, Procurement, Events, and Real Estate Management.

Originally from the village of Portmarnock on Ireland's east coast, Eamonn moved to New York City shortly after graduating from Dublin's Trinity College with a First in Marine Biology. After 7 years working in the Finance and Accounting fields at Salomon Smith Barney (now Citibank), Eamonn spent 10 years as a Technology Executive focusing on airline systems integration and point of sale tools.

Immediately prior to joining Ultimate, Eamonn spent several years managing Oracle Application Development, EDI and BI at Ivax Pharmaceuticals in Miami.

Milin Espino
Director of Community Relations, Memorial Healthcare System & Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital
Milin represents a six-hospital system (South Broward Hospital District) and builds partnerships with key community stakeholders, civic associations, community leaders, and governments. Incorporates hospital mission in developing and implementing outreach programs to ignite interest in the hospital and collaborate with community partners to improve the quality of life of the residents. Coordinates corporate wellness and prevention program, speakers bureau, and oversee sponsorships that align with organizations that complement our mission to health the mind, body, and spirit of those we touch. Fosters a responsible and contributing corporate neighbor relationship with the Cities and their residents. Responsible for special events and oversees a 3.5 million budget and 15 member team.

Marko Evans is a Florida Native and moved to South Florida from Orlando after attending the University of Central Florida. In 2002, he founded Now Hiring You, an executive search firm specializing in Legal and Financial Recruiting. His firm has shown consistent growth inside of these practice areas and continues to expand.

He currently lives in downtown Fort Lauderdale with his dog Romeo. His wife and daughter live in Paris, France, he commutes back and forth regularly.


Andrew Garnett
Special Needs Group

Andrew Garnett is the founder and President of Special Needs Group a unique business handling mobility and other supportive equipment for cruise travelers around the world among other things. He has over 12 years of leadership experience building a global brand in the Special Needs industry.

An accomplished corporate strategist and marketer, his vision and expertise in business performance have driven notable growth in both the Special Needs and the travel industries. Throughout his years in the Special Needs industry, Garnett has forged strong relationships with the manufacturers of special needs equipment. He has also established global contacts for logistical fulfillment within this industry. Through these relationships, he is not only able to procure equipment at a moment’s notice in virtually any corner of the globe, Garnett is also able to provide input into the design of equipment customized to the needs of the cruise industry, as well as any other possible application.

Prior to establishing his current business, he worked as a recruiter and is a member of the Arc Broward Business Advisory Council. He has an economics degree from the University of Florida.

 


Daniel Iturrey
EY
Daniel is a Florida licensed CPA and Assurance Senior at EY. He is an entrepreneur with a passion for transformational technologies and a passion to do good and give back to his community. He is a former Member of the Board of Trustees and Audit Committee for the City of Miami Firefighters & Police Officers (FIPO) Retirement Trust and a mentor with NFTE, the network for teaching entrepreneurship as well as the College MAP, Mentoring for Access and Persistence program. He serves as a peer advisor and University of Miami Campus Recruiting Leader for EY. Under his leadership, the company was recognized as one of the top employers on that Campus. Daniel also was NCAA Division III Student-Athlete, World Series Runner Up, South Region Champion, All-South Region Tournament First Team (Baseball 2010 – 2014 [Team Captain 2011 – 2014]) and NCAA Division I Student-Athlete (Baseball 2009.)

Ms. Lopez joined the Board of Directors in 2014.  She has more than 25 years of legal marketing, recruiting, and management experience. She is active in the community and currently serves as Chairwoman of the United Way of Broward’s Women’s Leadership Council.  She has a BBA from the University Of Miami School Of Business. She is the Founder and CEO of Rosy Strategies providing integrated marketing services. She currently serves of the Arc Broward Resource Development Committee.
Joel Mayersohn
Dickinson Wright

Joel Mayersohn, a Member at the law firm of Dickinson Wright, focuses his practice in corporate, securities and business law. He advises a diversified client base in private placements, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and general securities, as well as corporate law matters. He also has experience in venture capital, going-private transactions, bridge loans and pipe financings.

He earned a B.A. cum laude from The State University of New York (Buffalo) and a J.D. from  The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. He was selected as "Dealmaker of the Week" by South Florida Daily Business Review (July 2012) and has been listed as one of the "Top Lawyers in Florida" by South Florida Legal Guide.  He has published numerous articles including "Advising the Board of Directors, Effectively Managing the Risk" - Roetzel Corporate Counsel Forum (2009) and  "Duo Helped in $180M Acquisition of Plantation-based Online Retailer" - South Florida Daily Business Review (2012)

He has served on several other non-profit Boards of Directors over the years and joined the Arc Broward Board in May 2019.

 

 


Melissa Milroy

Melissa Milroy is the Senior Marketing Manager for The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. She is responsible for implementing all marketing and advertising campaigns, sponsorship and business development, and community relations for the property.

Ms. Milroy has been with The Galleria for the past 25 years. She currently sits on the board for the Transportation Management Association, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Beach Council Board of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, The Heart Gallery of Broward County is a member of the Marketing Advisory Committee of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. She oversees the Galleria’s annual Men of Style event every year inviting select nonprofits to participate and generate their own funds.


 

Chad Moss

Chad Moss joined the Arc Broward Board of Directors in May 2017.  As Executive Vice President of Moss & Associates, Chad manages multiple accounts, business development, client strategy, new project pursuits, public relations, and community initiatives. He is a prominent ambassador for the company and is known for building strong relationships throughout the South Florida construction field and in the community as a whole. 

Chad co-founded family-owned-and-operated Moss & Associates after he began his 20-year career in operations. Chad has been active in some of Moss’s most prominent signature projects, including the Miami Marlins Park, opened in 2012, and the groundbreaking 620-bed Parkview Hall at his alma mater, Florida International University, opened in August 2013. 

Chad serves as President of the Moss Foundation, a non-profit organization established to provide a platform for the community initiatives and partnerships Moss is involved with. The Foundation supports and offers assistance to other non-profit organizations and community partners, promoting the premise that Moss isn’t just about building structures, we are helping to build communities. A self-described “people person,” Chad enjoys bringing people together to create significant projects. More broadly, he enjoys mentoring others, advancing education, and giving back to the community. 

Chad earned a B.S. in construction management from Florida International University. A longtime champion of FIU, he is a member of the FIU Foundation board of directors and of the university’s OHL School of Construction Industry Advisory Council. Through the Moss Foundation, Chad donated $10 million to Florida International University’s engineering school, creating the Moss School of Construction, Infrastructure, and Sustainability in the FIU's College of Engineering & Computing. He is also a Board member of Broward County nonprofit HANDY.

Christina Shea

Christina Shea has over 15 years of extensive staffing, human resources, and marketing background. In 2020, Christina followed a life goal and founded Aligned Solutions- a permanent staffing company. Prior to Aligned Solutions, Christina worked alongside her family as the Engagement Manager for Right Management Florida/Caribbean focusing on candidate outreach and employee health and wellness.

 

Christina’s previous staffing background includes experience in Information Technology, Government, Healthcare, Human Resources, and more. While working at CompHealth she earned President’s Club 4 times and led the second-highest profitable team in the company. In 2020, she was recognized by the

South Florida Business Journal as an Up & Comer.

 

Christina is also an active member of the local community. She has served as the Co-Chair of the Miss Arc Broward Pageant for seven years and served on the committee group for IMPACT Ambassadors for Memorial Healthcare System & Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

I am a certified ISR Instructor located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was born in North Miami Beach and was raised in Coral Springs, Florida. I have lived in Fort Lauderdale for about 13 years now.

 

I received my bachelor’s degree in Sports Management along with a minor in business at Florida State University. Upon graduation, I worked for the Miami Dolphins (sales). Followed by a job with Anheuser Busch, and then spent eight years working at Morgan Stanley as a Client Service Associate and Human Resource Office Manager. Our team serviced Arc South Florida Guardianship Trusts.

 

My husband and I got married in Islamorada in 2014. We are both avid fishermen and certified PADI divers. We enjoy diving for lobsters, snorkeling, reef and wreck dives, and have even done a couple of shark dives.

 

We had our first son in May of 2015. After having him, I decided to not return to Morgan Stanley to stay home with him.

 

After seeing what the Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) program did for both of my boys I decided to become an instructor myself, and I began my training with a Master Instructor in August of 2019. I received my certification from Infant Swimming Resource and am their designated instructor in my region. I now enjoy working with children and teaching them life-long water survival skills. This profession brings me an immense amount of happiness and is profoundly rewarding. I love being a part of the ISR mission, “not one more child drowns.”

 

I have enjoyed serving as Co-Chair of the Miss Arc Broward Pageant for the past 6 years.

Michael D. Wild is the managing partner of Wild Felice & Partners, PA and a leader in his community. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of 2-1-1 Broward, the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of HANDY, and is a Board Member of Arc Broward, Boys and Girls Club of Broward County and the NSU Ambassador Board.
