Services are provide din the family homes and/or at our main campus in Sunrise on designated out of school and weekend days. Children are engaged in a variety of wonderful social, recreational, and fitness activities. Staff-to-child ratios are one staff to one child in-home and one staff to one or two children while at our campus. Respite care staff implement behavior programs and activities, as available.
Funding is provided by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) or the Broward County Human Services Division. Eligibility requirements vary for both funding sources.
In-Home Behavior Analysis services include a comprehensive functional assessment and the development of a state-of-the-art treatment plan based upon the science of applied behavior analysis to reduce or eliminate the target behaviors and increase adaptive/functional responses. Nationally board-certified behavior analysts and highly trained behavior specialists provide consultative services to caregivers on the implementation of the behavior plan and then evaluate ongoing progress, adjusting plans, as necessary, to meet targeted outcomes.
Services are provided in the family’s home and in natural community settings. The program is funded by the Broward County Human Services Division. Eligible families may receive a maximum of 25 hours of service per year.
