Description/Duties:
ARC Broward's Respite Care program provides behavioral respite services to
children ages 2 through 18 years of age who are diagnosed with developmental
disabilities. Supportive care and supervision is provided to the child in
their own home or at the center in order to provide a brief period or relief
or rest for the parents, guardians, or family members who are regular caretakers.
The Respite Care Associate will engage the child in age appropriate
activities such as coloring, puzzles, games and other leisure
activities.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Six months related experience working with
children with developmental disabilities required. Must be capable of
working under pressure in a somewhat disruptive environment while remaining
professional. Must be pleasant, personable, prompt, self sufficient and
professional.
Hours:
Flexible hours.
Salary:
$10.00 hour |
