The primary purpose of the Teacher Assistant is to assist people who need support by working with them to identify and develop the skills that are needed for them to lead self-directed lives and to participate fully in their community. It is the mission of the teacher assistant to follow the individual path suggested by the unique gifts, preferences, and needs of each person they support, and to walk in partnership with the person and those in the person’s circle of support, toward a life of opportunity, well-being, freedom, and contribution. The teacher assistant is invested in providing high quality services, ensuring the proper level of supervision and care to maintain individuals’ safety and well-being.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be 21 years old.
Must have valid Florida driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record.
Operate a company van to transport individuals as requested.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must pass physical and drug test.
Must be able to complete 5 days of new hire orientation class.
Less than 1 year experience working with the developmentally disabled.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and
Thursday & Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
$10.00 Per Hour
