Ronald S. Jacobs, J.D.

Mr. Jacobs joined the ARC Broward Board of directors in 2004. From 1993 to 2004 Mr. Jacobs served as an elected member of the City Council for the City of Plantation, Broward County, Florida, (pop. 86,000; budget $85 Million) serving as President of that Council for three of those years.

He has served as a Consultant to Congressman Peter Deutsch, Nova University Libraries, the State of Florida House of Representatives Committee on Reapportionment and others in the areas of computer technology, data collection, design, training and analysis. He has also published numerous articles in the computer technology arena. He holds a B.A. in Business and a Juris Doctorate.

Early in his career he was a licensed Futures trader on the NYSE and General Partner of a company that traded stock index futures contracts. His list of leadership positions in community service is lengthy and includes organizations assisting children stricken with cancer, youth, economic redevelopment, and a guardian ad litem program, among others.

He has occupied leadership positions in many charitable organizations, homeowners and business associations over the years.
