Dennis Haas, Esq.

Mr. Haas has a BA and a juris doctorate. He began a career in the practice of law at a legal aid program in Broward County, Florida advocating for improved conditions in various healthcare institutions and for the rights of individuals with disabilities, among others. He also served as a local hearings officer and mediator over the years.

After entering private practice, as a Partner in a large local law firm he practiced in the areas of corporate healthcare, public finance and governmental relations for many years until forming his own firm with several colleagues, Platt, Haas. He has served as a member and in leadership positions of many non profit and community Boards including the Broward Health Planning Council, Broward Mental Health Board, Governor's Constituency for Children, Legal Aid Services, Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Broward County/Children's Services Council Special Needs Advisory Committee, United Way Executive Council and many others.

He has served on the ARC Broward Board of Directors since 1983. In 1996, he assumed the position of President/CEOof ARC Broward and continues to serve on the Board in that capacity.
