Irwin Bier Irwin Bier has served on the Board of ARC Broward since 1980. He is a retired union representative. Over the years he has served in the U.S. Army and been active in serving as Chair and President of various large condominium association Boards. He has an adult daughter that has received services from ARC Broward for several decades. Mr. Bier was at the forefront of advocating for change in conditions and services available to individuals with developmental disabilities in New York where the well known Willowbrook institution court case served as a critical turning point in the rights and opportunities available. He has also been actively involved as a founder and other leadership roles with a number of other charities related to Alzheimers disease. |
