ARC Broward is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors including members from various segments of the community. Many of ARC Broward's current Board members have served for in excess of 13 years and have a relative with a disability the same as or similar to those of individuals served by the agency.

They are also leaders in the community with varied business and personal experience and relationships that help guide the organization. The Board of Directors has a key role in promotion and discussion of the organization's strategic planning, direction and mission; value in the programs and services offered balancing the expectations of persons served, stakeholders, and financial considerations. Board members also guide compliance with insurance and risk management requirements, safety and accessibility issues, outcomes management and performance improvement, development and implementation of corporate responsibilities, legal and regulatory compliance and issues and ongoing performance improvement. The Board operates through various committees including an Executive Committee and Finance Committee, among others. The Chief Executive Officer is in charge of and responsible for the day to day operations of the organization, among other things and reports to the Board of Directors.
